Dear Kristiina and all, I have never seen muskoxen butt, but their telescope-like orbitae, similar to those of bisons may be a related adaptation that protects the eyes rather than the brain. Perhaps owing to a difference in scaling, this is less ominous in rams but still visible. All the best: Laszlo
