Subject: Have you considered Podcasting?

Hi all,
a slightly bizarre question but hopefully it might spark some thought.

I guess this is really aimed at those on the list who work for Higher Education web sites.

With the competition to recruit students becoming ever more fierce I know that many universities are constantly looking for new ways to market to students. I was wondering if any of you had considered pod casting as an approach and if so whether you got as far as trying it. What do people think of the idea?

It strikes me that a higher education podcast aimed at prospective students could include hints and tips on university life, interviews with existing students and even demo tracks by local student bands. I imagine that would be very appealing.

Here are my more detailed thoughts on the subject: http://www.boagworld.com/archives/2005/07/the_opportuniti.html

Am I living in cloud cuckoo land here?
