Postdoctoral Positions in Brain Imaging

Seven postdoctoral research positions are available within a recently
established Lundbeck Foundation Center for Integrated Molecular Brain
Imaging (CIMBI) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
CIMBI focuses on the neural bases of interindividual variability in,
e.g., personality dimensions that predispose individuals to
neuropsychiatric disorders, with special emphasis on the serotonergic
neurotransmitter system. Both PET and MRI will be employed in studies
of healthy human subjects, and where relevant these will be complemented
with studies using animal models. Advanced informatics techniques, new
tracer compounds, and novel serotonergic challenge paradigms will also
be developed within CIMBI. The work venues will span several
institutions in Copenhagen as well as several collaborating laboratories
in Europe and the U.S.

The following positions are available from January 2006:
1. Postdoctoral researcher to work with cognition, behavior and/or
personality and molecular brain imaging of the serotonergic transmitter
system
2. Postdoctoral researcher to work with the genetic and biochemical
determinants of the serotonergic transmitter system
3. Two postdoctoral researchers to work with the relation between
personality, biochemistry, brain structure determined by structural MRI,
and functional brain imaging under serotonergic challenges
4. Postdoctoral researcher to work with the development of serotonergic
PET agonist tracers
5. Postdoctoral researcher to work with a meta-analytic approach to
knowledge discovery in molecular brain imaging
6. Postdoctoral position in computational data-analysis
7. Computer programmer for building databases of human brain data

All positions are available for a duration of 2-5 years starting from
January 2006 or soon thereafter.

A detailed description of each position and required qualifications can
be found at http://www.cimbi.dk/vacancies/

Applications should be electronic (PDF format) and must be received by
