Dear SPM List, There is an option in the SPM normalize function to use a weighting mask. From the description of the function, it appears that this is used in the case of lesioned brains to exclude areas that should not be used to estimate the normalization parameters. Is there a way to use this weighting to improve the quality of normalization in specific regions rather than the whole brain, i.e. by using a basal ganglia mask for example to get better normalization specifically in that location, paying less attention to the rest of the brain? Thanks Mike
