Dear SPM list, maybe I'm slightly confused, but currently I'm trying to optimise the speed of SPM2 analysis. System: Pentium 4 XEON, 2.8 GHz, Hyperthreading enabled, 4 GByte RAM Matlab 6.5.1.199701 (R13) Service Pack 1 August 4, 2003 Windows XP I followed the steps as kindly described on http://www.mrc-cbu.cam.ac.uk/Imaging/Common/spm_intel_tune.shtml That means, I used the Windows precompiled altas library for P4SSE2, as well as the Windows mex files for P4s delivered with SPM2. Indeed, the speed-test programs show a huge speed-up for the NaN-problem. However, the sparse matrix problem still persists, i.e. the sparse matrix is slower by a factor of 122 than a full matrix. The suggested solution is given only for SPM99. Is there any workaround for SPM2 as well? I'm not that familiar with MATLAB programming that I would change spm-code without exactly knowing what I am doing :-) I already searched the archive and the web but didn't find a solution. Thanks a lot, Andre
