External Relations Officer (salary up to £25,767)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and analytic individual for a new post that will integrate a range of PR, public engagement and corporate accountability activities in a small external relations team. Reporting to the Head of Public Engagement, the postholder will manage and develop systems to increase the efficiency and transparency of BBSRC's programmes in science and society, identifying emerging opportunities for integrating activities, including with external partners. The postholder will also project manage new initiatives as directed by the Head of Public Engagement. It is likely that the successful applicant will have a strong scientific background and good current awareness of science and society issues. External Relations Assistant (salary up to £19,939) (2 year contract)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual for a new post in a small team that runs a variety of scientific exhibitions, conferences and meetings for the public. The postholder will manage the day-to-day logistics and administration of these activities, and gain experience and training in a wide range of science PR and public engagement work. Probably educated to degree level, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build up a portfolio of achievements to support a career in science communication or related areas.
