The BA and ecsite-uk have received funding from the Sciencewise grants
scheme to run a series of Working Lunches in the Autumn this year.

We are currently planning the lunches and are looking for suggestions of
topics and projects to be included. Please e-mail me with any
suggestions you have for topics or speakers (or feel free to open
discussions on the list).

The working lunches will provide opportunities for professional science
communicators from a range of disciplines to enhance their skills in and
knowledge of current developments in public engagement, particularly
dialogue, by sharing good practice, introducing new developments and
networking

The working lunches aim to:
-	enable the science communication community to identify its
strengths and weaknesses in relation to public dialogue
-	provide opportunities to share good practice and develop new
skills by addressing the identified strengths and weaknesses
-	to highlight approaches and knowledge from related fields, such
as social science, sustainable development and health
-	to encourage collaborative projects
-	to provide opportunities for informal networking, including
supporting new people in the field

In the past lunches have been held on: (reports available at
