The next release (Alpha2) for QtsPlus4Calc is now available for download.
 
QtsPlus4Calc is the OpenOffice verison of the Excel-based package QtsPlus
(http://www.geocities.com/qtsplus)
 
QtsPlus4Calc and QtsPlus are a collection of spreadsheets that solve a
variety of queueing models.
 
QtsPlus4Calc is being released under the open source software license
Gnu Public License (GPL).
 
Volunteers are needed to help test the models.
 
Below is the release note for the Alpha2 release.
 
QtsPlus4Calc Release Alpha2
 
Purpose of this release:
To get feedback on installation procedures and usability of the models.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.  Please send any comments to
[log in to unmask].  Since OpenOffice is available for
many platforms, e.g., Windows, Linux, Solaris, the QtsPlus4Calc
project team is interested in experiences on the different platforms.
 

New in this release:
Addition of 4 models.  This brings to 11 out of the 60+ models from the Excel
version of QtsPlus that are now available for OpenOffice Calc.  The new models
in this release are
* M/M/1/K: Poisson Arrivals to a Space-Limited Single Exponential Server
* M^[K]/M/1: Unlimited Capcity, Fixed-size Bulk-Input Poisson Queue
* Single-Server Markovian Queue with 2 Priority Classes
* Open Jackson Network Model
 
In addition, the first version of the QtsPlus4Calc User Guide is now available.
