I agree.  I have never found any evidence to convince me that providing flu vax to a healthy working population was of any benefit, unless they were at risk ie healthcare workers, teachers etc.  When I looked at the 'figures' for one employer I worked with a few years ago  I found that those employees who never went off sick didn't go off sick after the vaccination and those who did take time off sick did go off after vaccination.  At the end of the day those individuals who need the vaccination should get it for free from their GP's.

Hi Paul

Thanks for that. I can see the argument for immunising health care workers but remain unconvinced about the efficacy of widespread immunisation in the general working population. What are your thoughts?
