Eyebeam conducts exhibitions, education programs, artists' residencies and production and research initiatives exploring art made with new technologies. Mission: Eyebeam engages cultural dialogue at the intersection of the arts and sciences. Its goal is to forge an understanding of the relatedness of these practices, which are becoming increasingly significant engines of cultural production. Eyebeam implements this mission by: - Providing educational programming and access to cultural resources to artists and to the community - Facilitating research and development of innovation in cultural production and technology - Enabling artistic creation by providing access to technological and cultural resources - Expanding and informing critical discourse regarding art, culture and media through exhibitions and public programming. Responsibilities: - Work with Executive Director and program staff to plan and execute development strategy. - Identify, research and solicit external constituents: individuals, corporations, foundations and government agencies. - Work with Executive Director and the Board to identify and solicit major gifts. - Develop, submit and follow-up on proposals for gifts, foundations and grants. - Prepare, manage, and evaluate the Development budget and organization's annual income calendars. - Steward all support. - Work with Marketing and Special Events to develop and execute benefits/events/membership programs in support of Eyebeam. Qualifications: - Excellent verbal, written, organizational and research skills essential. - Knowledge of the nonprofit arts, cultural and funding sectors is preferred. - Demonstrated ability to cultivate, solicit and secure major gifts and to raise funds from a combination of major gifts, foundations, grants and other sources. - Ability to work within and adapt to the shifting parameters of a dynamic organization that creates new events and programs at a fast pace.
