A PhD position in Theoretical Chemistry is available at the Freie
Universität Berlin in the group of Prof. J. Manz. Our group is working in
the fields of quantum chemistry, quantum dynamics and laser control. (More
information on our web-page http://userpage.chemie.fu-berlin.de/~manzwww)

We invite applications of graduate students of chemistry, physics, applied
mathematics or computer science for PhD work on "Quantum dynamics of
photochemical reactions via conical intersections" The project includes
computer simulation of the reaction dynamics and the development of methods
for laser control of non-adiabatic reactions. For more information see also:
http://userpage.chemie.fu-berlin.de/~monika/research/conical.html. The
project is part of a trilateral cooperation with Israeli and Palestinian
partners.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in quantum physics
or quantum chemistry. He or she is expected to closely collaborate with our
Israeli and Palestinian partners. Salary is 0.75 BAT IIa, start of the
project is 01.08.05 (funding still pending).
