 4 YEARS PHD STUDENT POSITION
FP6 RTN - MOLECULAR UNIVERSE - THE NETHERLANDS
 -------------------------------------------------------------------

We invite applications for a 4-years PhD student position within
the EU research traning network "Molecular Universe".
The molecular universe network consists of 21 institutes in
9 countries all active in molecular astrophysics and is funded
under the FP6 Marie Curie Research and Training Network Program.
 Detailed information is available from

 http://molecular-universe.obspm.fr/

The position is located in the Netherlands and supervised by
Xander Tielens (Kapteyn Institute Groningen -
 http://www.rug.nl/sterrenkunde) and Harold Linnartz
and Ewine van Dishoeck (Leiden Observatory -
http://www.strw.leidenuniv.nl). The project focusses on laser
spectroscopic studies of gas phase species that are of
astrophysical relevance (Leiden). In addition, the position
has a strong modelling/observational component (Groningen).

The EU conditions for applicability are listed at the
Molecular Universe home page and for this particular position
we are looking for a non-Dutch young researcher, member of an EU
or an EU-associated country. Qualified women are particularly
encouraged to apply. Within the network, training is provided
in a number of related fields and exchange programs between
 participating groups are standard.

The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic
researcher with a good background in experimental physics, chemistry
and/or astrophysics. Experience with vacuum and laser techniques
 is an advantage.

Send your e-mail application to both [log in to unmask]
and [log in to unmask] and arrange for two letters of recommendation.
'SPAM' applications will not be considered. The selection procedure
will start august 10th. We try to fill this position as soon as
possible. For additional information you can contact
