Subject: register

Hello!

In Slovenia w would like to start with registering midwives (we do not have established register yet) and I have a few questions:

- who in your country is in charge in registering new midwives (Ministry of health, Professional organization,...)
- what is the process to register and what are the criteria
- who gives the license and what are the criteria
- how often do you have to re-new the license and what is the procedure
- who is in charge in renewals (midwifery schools, professional organization, Ministry of health...) and what are the criteria?

I would appreciate all your experience, opinions and suggestions.
Thank you for your help,
Polona Skocir, midwife,Slovenia
