Dear Mary,
 
the 'annual hazard' for mortality in Table 2 gives the number of expected deaths per year (plus confidence intervals) at the ages mentioned in the caption. The conclusion from that table:  women with early-onset menopause have a slightly elevated risk of cardiovascular events in later life.
