ELECTRONIC COPYRIGHT 18 January, London * 25 May, Birmingham * 6 November, London This half-day workshop is intended to update participants' knowledge of current copyright issues in relation to electronic information and will include issues relating to copyright and the Internet, deep linking and databases. The workshop also investigates the impact of the implementation of the EU Copyright Directive. BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING By the end of the workshop participants will have a good understanding of the problems caused by new technology. They will also have a clearer understanding of how far new legislation addresses these problems. Relevant legislation and case law will be considered and there will be an opportunity for participants to discuss any areas that particularly concern them and to try to find practical solutions to any implementation problems. Throughout the workshop participants will be given the opportunity to consider a number of examples and case studies to test their knowledge of electronic copyright. WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM ATTENDING?
