Beyond needs analysis : using information audit findings to initiate change

You've systematically found out what your users (and non-users) want - what do you do next? How do you follow it up?

Liz Orna, an independent information consultant, lecturer and writer will be delivering a free online guest lecture as part of the NLH Librarian Development Programme's FOLIO course on Planning and Conducting Information Needs Analyses (PACINA). This lecture, initially arranged for FOLIO course participants, is now being offered more widely to the UK health library community. Liz will provide a complementary and experience-based view of information audits, drawing on many years of helping a variety of organisations to run audits.

Liz will be drawing on material from her recent book: "Information Strategy in Practice," published by Gower in 2004, which covers the theory of information auditing in depth with lots of examples from real recent audits.

She will deliver her talk via a telephone link twice on Friday February 11th, at
10am and  3pm, so we hope that most of you will be able to listen in to one  slot. The talk will last 10-15 minutes, with an accompanying Internet slide show, and the opportunity to ask questions
after. If any of you cannot make either slot, we will arrange for both the slide show and a recording to be available on-line shortly after.
