Positive about disabled people. Description: The NHS Scotland e-Library (www.elib.scot.nhs.uk) is an exciting new initiative to provide knowledge support at point of need for all NHS Scotland staff. Post 1: full-time You will organise knowledge content and administer interactive services within the e-Library and its constituent Portals, selecting and applying metadata and indexing standards to ensure effective information retrieval. Post 2: part time - 18.5 hours per week You will manage and promote e-Library subscription resources to maximise availability and usage, acting as primary communication link for librarians, end-users and content suppliers. You will also provide outreach and training and communication with suppliers. For both posts, you will be educated to degree level, with a postgraduate qualification in information science, and have at least two years' experience in applying advanced indexing and cataloguing skills. You will also have the capacity to manage projects and communicate well with users and other information practitioners. A creative approach to service development is essential, combined with a commitment to the highest professional standards in information retrieval.
