When I've done a similar thing, I took lots of copies of library
handouts & examples of training materials etc, and had a display board
behind the table, including pictures of recent acquisitions.
(Pasting the "View larger picture" image from Bookfind or Amazon into a
Word document, with shelfmark underneath, and printed in colour.)
Then stood and tried to look friendly & approachable - and resorted to
bribery with sweeties and NELH pens (as Brenda suggested) of course!
Though I took mints with wrappers, in case anyone was going to fret
about handwashing etc.
I wrote down contact details if people looked at all interested, and
followed up by email afterwards.
