CPD25 24/7 Conference

26th April 2005
9.30am – 4.15pm
The Hatton
51 - 53 Hatton Garden
London
EC1N 8HN

24/7 opening has remained a lively topic of debate. Although only a handful
of libraries offer a 24/7 service, many are considering remaining open for
longer and wrestling with the implications. Is extended opening intended
for students or to enhance the university's reputation? What services are
to be made available and by whom? How is the extension to opening to be
funded and can the university be persuaded to pay? How will the library
staff cope with the culture change?
Our speakers will address these issues and many others as well. If your
library service is considering extending its opening hours, this is the
event for you.
