These are exciting times for the Research and Learning Resources Division in Information Services at the University of Nottingham. The University has campuses in the UK, China and Malaysia, a rapidly growing range of printed and electronic collections and a strong strategic approach to the way we plan and deliver our converged information services.

Applications are invited for a suitable candidate to help to fulfil our ambitions and meet the current and future information needs of the University. This senior role, which reports to the Director of Research and Learning Resources, is based at the new King's Meadow Campus in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing subject, liaison and enquiry services. 
- Supporting the development of printed and electronic collections. 
- Managing the electronic and print materials budget (over £3m per annum). 
- Leading a section of about 60 staff across all six campuses. 
- Contributing to the strategic development of hybrid information services. 

Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have at least eight years' management experience, including a relevant postgraduate or professional qualification. In addition, candidates should be familiar with using new technology to deliver the service and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary will be within the range £38,772 - £46,296 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £55,265 per annum, subject to performance). This post is open to job share.
