An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic
cataloguer with the British - Israel - World Federation.

The BIWF has a collection of approximately 5000 book items covering a
wide range of historical and theological topics. Many old, rare and
unusual items make up this unique resource.

The purpose of this project is to make the information contained in the
collection easier to find. To this end, it will be necessary to organise
and catalogue the collection. This would entail using DDC and
cataloguing to a high standard. It is then hoped that a searchable
electronic database can be created. The creation of keywords and subject
categories as part of the catalogue record would also be necessary to
aid searches on the database.

Hours are flexible and remuneration is negotiable. This project would be
ideal for a retired librarian or an experienced cataloguer who enjoys a
challenge.

The collection itself is housed at the BIWF premises at Low Etherley,
which is just outside Bishop Auckland in County Durham.
