CPD Programme.

It will be held at the A K Bell Library, Perth on 28th September 2005 and
will be led by Olive Fowler, Assistant Director of Opening the Book, a

develops reader’s confidence and offers more opportunities to share
reading experiences

Our CILIPS training course is designed to introduce the theory and
practice of reader development and its contribution to successful public
library services.

The event is aimed at public library staff interested in learning more
about working with readers, increasing staff confidence in talking about
books and exploring promotional ideas for reaching new audiences.

Attendance at the event costs £70 members £90 non members to include
lunch, refreshments and all learning materials.

This course will take up to 25 participants and is aimed at those
supporting the current reader development co-ordinators, joining as a new
co-ordinator or interested in widening their skills base.
