UCRG Northern Section are pleased to announce a one day course: Accreditation: what’s in it for my Library ? ============================================ Accreditation or external validation and verification of Library services is now becoming common as Libraries seek to gain recognition of what they do, the services which they provide and some form of approval. This one day course will examine four very different forms of external accreditation from practitioners working across the Public, University, College and Medical Library domains. We will examine the Chartermark, Investor in People, Helicon and Peer review in FE College Libraries, determine the relevance of these different accreditation schemes, discover the pros and cons of each scheme and network with other colleagues from across the region Guest speakers include John Morrow (Newcastle University Library), Steve Cropper (Wirral Metropolitan College), David Peacock and Sharon Dobbin (NHS) and a speaker to be confirmed from Durham County Libraries. Venue: Library Seminar Room, Main Library, Durham University.
