LW We are seeking a skilled and flexible individual to develop the range of e-resources and online library services provided by Senate House Library for a wide range of academic users, including staff and distance learning students of the University's External System. You will co-ordinate liaison with academic staff on the provision of library services and resources for the External System's distance learning courses and develop the partnership between Senate House Library and the External System. Responsible for the development of the E-Resource Collection, you will select resources for all user communities serviced by Senate House Library and assist with the compilation of a policy for the development of e-resource collections. Of graduate calibre, and qualified in Librarianship, Information Science or other relevant discipline, it is essential that you have experience of working with electronic datasets, journals and allied services in an academic library or information environment, are highly ICT literate and possess knowledge of licensing issues. A team-player, with good communication and interpersonal skills, you will have a flexible approach and willingness to meet new challenges. Some experience of staff management and academic liaison, access management and security issues, and web authoring skills are highly desirable attributes in addition.
