MOVING ON IN MARC 21: SERIALS 21 June 2005, London Serials are a specialist area within cataloguing and this one-day course seeks to introduce the basic nature of serials within the context of their description using the MARC 21 format. BENEFITS OF ATTENDING The day gives information workers the chance to update and upgrade their skill working with the MARC 21 format and gain an understanding of a significant area in bibliographical control. SPECIAL NOTES This workshop assumes a basic knowledge of AACR2 and the MARC 21 format and essentially is a developmental workshop for information workers with existing experience in the MARC 21 format. It has been developed from a half-day version run in 2003. WORKSHOP LEADER: KEITH TRICKEY Keith is a part time senior lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University and freelance trainer. He has been teaching and training the MARC format for nearly twenty years and enjoys helping fellow information workers enhance their skills and the quality of the work they are able to undertake.
