Cranfield University is one of Western Europe's largest academic centres for strategic and applied research, development and design. The Shrivenham Campus of the University is based at the Royal Military College of Science, in the Vale of the White Horse, Oxfordshire, and the College is a constituent part of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. Cranfield University at Shrivenham delivers a wide range of courses in science, engineering and management related to the defence sector to both military and civilian students.  

Information Services at RMCS exist to enable learning and provide innovative, responsive and flexible service based on the collections of the RMCS Library and developing range of electronic resources.  The Campus is seeking to build on recent e-learning success by creating a fully managed e-learning solution utilising existing content delivery services and systems enhanced by a Learning Content Management System (LCMS). The University uses the Blackboard delivery platform at the moment and is the first UK institution to implement the HarvestRoad "Hive" LCMS.

LCMS Administrator
£23,575-£30,506 per annum

A full time position to further develop and administer the e-learning system. You will be an exceptional individual capable of working independently as well as developing close liaisons with academic, military and service support teams to facilitate the development of an e-learning content repository. Enthusiasm and a commitment to learning and education, coupled with excellent communication skills are essential. An experienced system administrator used to working with and supporting cross-departmental teams in a multiple project complex environment. You will have a high level of technical skills including database creation, XML, programming language skills, HTML and proven experience of producing and managing web based projects.
