SELECTING ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS: BEYOND THE BASICS 5 May 2005, London E-resources are very costly - how are decisions made about what to subscribe to? How many customers will want to access this resource? How are an organisation's unique requirements expressed to the publishers or vendors? These are some of the questions that may have to be answered by those responsible for the purchase of electronic products. Other key issues are - how to ensure the accuracy and quality of information resources; review the risks of not having information; identify the most cost-effective sources and compliance with regulation and legislation. BENEFITS FROM ATTENDING This workshop will provide an opportunity to work in groups to try and find solutions to some of the issues relating to the procurement of electronic resources.
