librarians, information specialists and other working with music

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the day delegates will

*   be able to search effectively on the World Wide Web
*   know how to assess the credentials of a website
*   be familiar with a range of music information sites
*   know how to purchase music and recordings on the web
*   be familiar with mailing/discussion lists
*   have considered aspects of public access to music sources on the
    World Wide Web

Each delegate has their own terminal with hands-on access to the
Internet. A series of guided exercises is used to reinforce the learning
experience.  Delegates receive a comprehensive set of notes and a list
of recommended sites.

music materials on the Internet - whether for acquisition, cataloguing or
public service needs
