Knowledge management is growing up. After the initial phase of being
viewed as the new boy on the block, possibly with a short life expectancy,
many organisations have acknowledged that effective management of their core
resource - knowledge - is vital to their success. So KM, in various guises
and through diverse approaches, is being developed in all sectors and by
organisations of all sizes. Whilst it is recognised that a core KM
principle is that 'one size does not fit all - that KM is organisation
specific, organisations are learning from the experience of others and
adapting techniques and tools to their own environments. This seminars
brings together some of the second generation leaders in KM development to
share their experience and lessons learnt enabling delegates to gain an
understanding of practical approaches and current issues.

As an increasing number of organisations progress with their KM initiatives,
lessons are being learned that can help other organisations develop their
own strategies. This seminar brings together a range of speakers to talk
about projects and initiatives that they have worked on. There are plenty of
opportunities to raise questions with the speakers and to network with other
delegates.

Chair: Sandra Ward
Speakers: Jo Mernagh, Active Dynamics Ltd; Sindy Grewel, FOS; John Keeble;
Andrew Patridge, DfES; Chris Collison, Centrica plc
