Promoting Information Literacy for Information and Computer Sciences

University College Worcester
Wednesday, 8th June, 2005

This FREE workshop, organised in collaboration with HE Academy is designed
for both library liaison staff and Computing and Information Science
academics. We aim to encourage collaboration between these groups and
delegates might consider attending in pairs (an academic accompanied by a
liaison librarian from the same institution).

The workshop aims to share good practice and raise awareness of
        * the issue of how students locate, retrieve and evaluate
information to support their learning
        * how to improve the way that students locate, retrieve and
evaluate information to support their learning
        * how to assess the impact of improvement programmes.
