Dear all, The 2002 Roberts review (http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/Documents/Enterprise_and_Productivity/Res earch_and_Enterprise/ent_res_roberts.cfm <http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/Documents/Enterprise_and_Productivity/Res earch_and_Enterprise/ent_res_roberts.cfm> ) recommended that PhD and research post-docs should receive two weeks of transferable skills training each year. Leeds University Library has just begun a 12 month project to integrate information literacy skills training into the training initiatives that are taking shape within our University. I would be delighted to hear from anyone else working on this kind of initiative specifically in relation to Roberts, or to hear from other libraries who have responded to Roberts and how they have done this. Please contact me with your experiences/advice etc and I will summarise for the list. Alternatively you may want to speak to me in person at the forthcoming Lilac 2005 conference 4th-6th April. Best wishes, Angela Angela Newton Information Literacy Research Training Officer Brotherton Library University of Leeds Woodhouse Lane LS2 9JT 0113 343 34983 [log in to unmask] www.leeds.ac.uk/people/ajn.htm
