Apologies for cross-posting --------------------------- InfusionS, an information skills training organisation based in Scotland, are offering the following one-day training courses. 9/12/05: The Informed Web Searcher, Edinburgh, 9.30 - 4.00 Advanced search strategies, this is a full day tutor-led hands on workshop for the more experienced information searcher. Cost: £165.00 including lunch and refreshments. Jan 06 (date tbc): Assessing Information Quality - half day workshop, Edinburgh A practical half-day tutor-led workshop introducing an evaluation toolkit which will help to guide you in assessing information quality on the Web. Cost : £100.00 including refreshments Jan 06 (date tbc): Finding Your way Around the Web - half day workshop, Edinburgh A practical half-day tutor-led workshop for the less experienced, non-specialist, user of the Web for information. This session provides the opportunity to build and develop your searching technique for finding information on the Internet, extending existing knowledge of search engines by introducing a variety of 'finding tools' that will help you to use the Internet more effectively.
