The edg, lcg, vdt things are the grid clients and in general I think it's reasonably obvious what they are. Most of the rest are various bits of open-source software used by the middleware. If you're worried about spyware I'm not sure how you could be satisfied, you'd have to look at the sources for everything which might take a while ... Stephen
