I had the same problem as Kyriacos a few days ago. I found in the log file /var/log/tomcat4/localhost_log.2005-04-11.txt the following: ----- Root Cause ----- java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/w3c/dom/ranges/DocumentRange Therefore I tried to find where is this class defined. I fixed this problem, but I can't say how, because I attempted several possibilities, and RAL was down at the moment, so I can't say which one solved it. I hope somebody can tell us where is this class located, and also if we have to run /etc/init.d/tomcat4 start or /etc/init.d/edg-tomcat4 start, because it seems to me that yaim calls for tomcat4, and that is what I am using.
