I've just followed that recipe, and I have at least the basic servlets
working. Except (re. Emanouil's question) I used
        /sbin/chkconfig edg-tomcat4 on
as I think we should be using that rather than plain tomcat4 - see the
"Tomcat4 error messages" thread in March.

Our site even shows up occasionally as a service - worryingly the registry
browser seems to be flipping between 420 services found and ... just 7
ATM.

[root@dgc-grid-42 root]# /etc/init.d/tomcat4 start
Starting tomcat4: [ OK ]
[root@dgc-grid-42 root]# ps -ef | grep tomcat

[root@dgc-grid-42 root]# /etc/init.d/edg-tomcat4 start

Oh well, maybe it doesn't matter.

I still have
Starting edg-rgma-servicetool: stty: standard input: Inappropriate ioctl
for device
                                                           [ OK ]

and I don't think Gin is working, but that may be because our SE info
providers are caput (another long story :( )

Thanks

Henry
