JOB TITLE:  Oracle PL/SQL / Java Developer - London (City) - GIS Background

JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to their continued success, 1 of the UK's foremost providers of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) requires an Oracle PL/SQL Developer with good Java development skills to work on the company's Oracle Spatial Database and GIS products & solutions based in London (City). The ideal candidate will come from a development background with exposure to both Oracle PL/SQL and Java J2EE platforms. They will consider candidates who are either Oracle or Java focused as long as you have had some exposure to the other technology.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Oracle 9i / 10g PL/SQL development, XML / XSLT / XSD technologies including Oracle XMLDB, Java (J2EE) development. Knowledge of Oracle Spatial and or a background in GIS development is also important.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Exp of SOAP Web Services in Oracle and Java, Oracle Application Server, JSP / Servlet development, GIS Java Based Web Mapping, Unix / Solaris 9.0, Oracle Certified Professional and a Computing Degree.
