GIS Data Technician Fixed Term - 1 year £17,853 - £22,374 The post is based at Viewforth, Stirling Forth Valley GIS is a joint unit providing corporate GIS services to Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling Councils. The unit also provides GIS services to a range of external public sector organisations. To help meet the challenges arising from Modernising Government initiatives, you will be expected to support the provision of a wide range of geographic and gazetteer data management services. You will have: - Working experience of geographic information management. - Good knowledge of geographic data products, data standards, formats and metadata. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Experience of GIS systems including ESRI based technologies. You will be highly motivated and have strong written and oral communication skills. You will be an organised and forward-thinking team player who works well under pressure in an evolving environment. You should have at least 1 year’s GIS experience in a work environment, with a qualification in a related subject, and excellent IT skills.
