THE ENFIELD OBSERVATORY Information Officers £23,424 - £24,867 36 hours per week Fixed one year contract from April 2005 We are looking for two experienced and talented individuals to join our Research Team at the launch of an exciting new service in area information management. So what’s new? The Enfield Observatory has been designed as a ‘one-stop shop’ for information about the area for the benefit of the Council and its partner organisations. The Observatory is a dedicated website presenting information in a variety of formats including interactive mapping! The service will collect, analyse and disseminate key area information in order to present an accurate and continuously updated picture of the socio- economic, environmental and public service situation in the Enfield area. You will be responsible for collecting, collating and analysing information to support the Observatory website. You will be working in partnership with key agencies to update and increase the information held by the Observatory and to implement its development plan. About you: In order to succeed in this challenging and varied role, you will have experience in data analysis and interpretation, experience of GIS software and identification of key trends and data analysis techniques, together with strong communication and presentation skills (orally and in writing). An understanding of public sector functions is important, as is the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts. Questions?
