This position is within the Location Planning Team of the Marketing Solutions Division (MSD) based in our West Kensington office in London. The jobholder will have responsibility for project delivery in two areas: DataDepot Sampling DataDepot The DataDepot is part of the Market Planning Group, which forms the basis for the Marketing Solutions Division (MSD). The department provides services and consultancy to a number of industries including retail, leisure, automotive, finance and the public sector amongst others. These services include the provision of standard data sets, data reports and mapping that highlight potential new locations. All delivery is carried out using CACI’s award winning GIS, InSite, alongside Microsoft Excel and Access. DataDepot is a multi-disciplinary team and the candidate will be involved in a wide variety of ‘fast turnaround’ marketing orientated projects. Sampling The Sampling Group is also part of MSD and provides information to market research bureauxs by delivering stratified samples of names and addresses drawn from either PAF or our in house database, The Consumer Register, within a client-specified universe. This work is done within InSite or SAS. Person Specification The ideal candidate, as well as being a highly motivated self-starter, will have the following skills: · Numerate degree (expected 2:1 or above), preferably Mathematics and statistics, including sampling theory. · Sound IT literacy and hands-on PC experience enabling you to apply this in a business environment. · Familiarity with SAS or similar statistical package, or other programming experience. · Familiarity with Microsoft Office. · Familiarity or experience of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) a plus. · Good inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate technical results to non-technical individuals. Note: Full GIS and SAS training will be given to the successful applicant (Salary is negotiable and will reflect the candidate’s ability and experience.)
