GIS Web Developer - £NEG - South West - Long Contract Generic Software Consultants are currently looking to recruit a Web Developer with GIS experience. The ideal candidate will be IT or GIS graduates and will be familiar with Web technologies such as Java, HTML, XML, XML Web and XLM. Experience of those technologies in relation to Geospatial data including spatial databases and processing and their delivery over the web would be advantageous. Experience of VRML/X3D and 3D visualisation software applications would be desirable but not essential. You should also have a good background and demonstrable expertise in one or more of the following: programming and development of internet applications and in particular those involving spatial databases, interest in alternative media delivery mechanisms such as digital TV would also be desirable.
