Ref: 1026790 Position: Senior GIS Consultant (Environmental) Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £33,000 plus benefits. Opportunity: ·Senior GIS Consultant to lead and manage a team of Geographic Information specialists. Providing expertise in the application of to environment and land management issues. ·Developing and applying methodologies for the use of GIS and spatial data in support of environmental policy development and implementation. ·Whilst this is by no means a sales role, you will use your commercial awareness to develop business ideas and deliver high quality, GIS solutions to customers in niche sectors. Key Skills: ·Minimum of a first degree in a geographical, agricultural, environmental, ecological, or other applied scientific discipline and professional experience working in applied GIS consultancy/ research. ·Expertise in the use and development of ESRI’s GIS software suite. ·Working knowledge of data management using relational databases ·Good knowledge of UK environmental data. ·Experience in project management and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
