Information Standards & Partnerships Manager
c. £28,000 per
annum
We are looking for an experienced manager to lead our Information Standards and Partnerships team, which has an international reputation for developing and promoting data standards and best practice for recording the historic environment. The post will involve working in partnership with others, including the development of a new historic environment portal. The successful candidate will have experience of applying data standards and best practice, a working knowledge of a range of ICT and practical experience of partnership working. An ability to analyse situations and apply solutions, think strategically and work effectively as part of a dynamic team will be essential. Ref: J/040/05.
Data Standards Supervisor
c. £24,000 per annum
The Data Standards Unit has an international reputation for the development, management and promotion of data standards and best practice for recording the historic environment. The Unit is looking for a new member of the team to develop and maintain data standards and terminology, provide support and advice on their implementation and management and promote the application of data standards within the heritage sector. The successful candidate will have a proven interest in and aptitude for the creation, application and dissemination of data standards, excellent logical, analytical and problem solving skills, working knowledge of ICT and experience in the provision of expert advice. Strong team skills, a proactive approach to issues and the ability to prioritise conflicting demands will also be essential requirements. Ref: J/042/05
