Web-hosted GIS Specialists-ArcGIS and ArcIMS

Location:- North West and South Midlands

Salary:-To £30,000

These are two excellent opportunities to become actively involved in designing, building and implementing web-based GIS & digital mapping solutions based on leading edge ESRI technology, across some very exciting application areas. These include public domain Points of Interest and Environmental Database systems.

 

The main duties & responsibilities are to:-

▪       Develop web based mapping applications.

▪       Integrate application development with mapping software.

▪       Provide technical presales support

▪       Evaluate new technology.

 

Please apply if your skills and experience broadly comprise:-

 

▪       More than 2 years experience in Web-hosted application development, ideally using ESRI technology products.

▪       Practical experience of working with popular web tools such as ASP, HTML, JavaScript and ideally ArcIMS.

▪       Fundamental experience and enjoyment of application programming and IT in general.

▪       Preferred development tools are Java, ASP, .NET, HTML and CGI.

▪       Database integration skills using SQL Server, ArcSDE, Oracle.

 

This is not a back-office role so candidates who prefer client interaction and plenty of time out of the office will be the best suited.  There may also be some overseas travel.
