We are looking for a GIS Officer. This is a fixed term maternity cover post.
You will be required to carry out all the duties of the GIS officer which includes:
- dealing with Street Name and Numbering requests from the public
- carrying out data checks, corrections and upgrades for the Local Land and
Property Gazetteer (the post will concentrate on this area)
- supporting internal departments with mapping data and information requests
- supporting users of the GIS computer systems
Candidates should:
- be computer literate (ideally with a qualification such as ECDL or higher)
- have a good understanding of maps and mapping systems
- have an understanding of GIS systems in general
