GIS DEVELOPER IN RETAIL CONSULTANCY The ORC Partnership is a successful retail management consultancy based in the countryside just south of Oxford. Most of our clients are retail property investors and our offer focuses upon the analysis of retail supply and demand. We have developed a GIS modelling solution called the Retail Sales and Profit Model (RSPM) with which we can successfully evaluate the retail opportunity for a town, shopping centre, retail park or store. We produce practical, tangible results well understood by both the retail property investors and the retailers to whom we report. We are looking to recruit a developer to assist in expanding the functionality of the RSPM and its databases. Graduates are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn the systems and processes employed in our office. A willingness to be flexible in the scope of the work undertaken will be required. The candidate must have a degree ideally in GIS, Geography or Computer Science. Ideally you will have experience in: - Spatial interaction modelling - MapBasic development - Microsoft Access development - Knowledge of .NET, SQL and VB will be an advantage In return we offer a competitive salary, a working week of 37.5 hours (9 to 5.30pm with an hour for lunch), 25 days annual holiday and a great working environment.
