It aims at conducting a tomographic study of the crust and upper mantle under Norway and adjacent areas using seismological broadband recordings of surface waves and S-waves. The project will complement on-going similar studies in the Arctic region, in Northern Germany-Southern Sweden and in Finland. Data recorded at permanent stations will be used in combination with data from two mobile networks. The candidate must have completed a PhD or equivalent degree in seismology by the time of appointment and have experience with analysis of broadband seismological data and/or tomographic methods.
