What? An introduction to Visitor Studies

 

When? Friday November 4th 1.30-4.30 

 

Where? The National Museum of Scotland

 

Who for?

 

§         Anyone involved in finding out what their audiences think

§         Anyone wanting to learn more about the process of consulting with visitors

§         Anyone wanting to learn more about the tools used to consult with visitors

 

Speakers will include

 

§         Kate Pontin, Chair of Visitor Studies Group – “What is Visitor Studies?”

 

§         Jenni Fuchs, National Museums of Scotland – "Visitor Studies at the National Museums of Scotland".

 

§         Elaine Reid,  Go Eco! Environmental Tourism Consultancy – “Getting the Most from the Guided Visit Experience”

 

§         Kit Reid, National Trust for Scotland – 'How can visitor evaluation help plan interpretation? - the Killiecrankie visitor centre'

 

The session will provide informal opportunities to network.

There will also be opportunities for discussion and questions.

 

Refreshments will be provided towards the end of the afternoon

No-lunch is provided
