in BRAINSTORM Natalie Wood and Chris walken are part of a science team that develop "the hat" -- tapes your dreams -- tapes memories. others can play them back. In Strange Days the same thing happens with Angela Bassett and Ralph Fiennes. STRANGE DAYS could be a SEQUEL to BRAINSTORM! it isn't but it's the evolution of a scifi device -- literally. The filmic device of living another person's memories -- and the actual device of a technology for recording. but in Strange Days we get down to street level -- where in Brainstorm (went to the Philly premeire at the Fox!) the doctors are dealing...the same applies.
