Dear ECPR theory list members please find below a list of the panels to be held by the Theory section at Budapest next year. The panels chairs and one email contact address are also included. It is up to the panel chairs to find paper givers (4 for each panel) by March; but if you have any queries about a paper you might have, do contact them yourselves to see if they are appropriate. I have listed 11 panels, although 10 was the official requirement. I am told that it is possible to go slightly over this, but bear in mind that at least two panels will then have to run concurrently. Herewith the list: 1. Global Justice (Roland Pierik: [log in to unmask]) 2. Post-Representation: Theory and Practice (Simon Tormey: [log in to unmask]) 3. Global Democracy (Patti Lenard/Terry Macdonald: [log in to unmask]) 4. Emotions and Social Movements (Simon Thompson: [log in to unmask]) 5. Theorizing the Politics of Contemporary Culture (Marina Prentoulis and Lasse Thomassen: <[log in to unmask]>) 6. Changing ideas of accountability, responsibility and representation in democratic governance (Dario Castiglione: [log in to unmask]) 7. Carl Schmitt and Thomas Hobbes: Friends or Enemies? (Gabriella Slomp: <[log in to unmask]>) 8. Sovereignty in Theory and Practice (Raia Prokhovnik: [log in to unmask]) 9. Political theory and multiculturalism in Europe: conceptual and political change at the crossroads (Ricard Zapata Barrero: [log in to unmask]) 10. Rhetoric as Political Theory (Alan Finlayson: <[log in to unmask]>) 11. French Marxism: its impact and legacy (Caroline Williams: <[log in to unmask]>) Best wishes James Martin -------------------------------- Dr James Martin Department of Politics Goldsmiths College University of London New Cross London SE14 6NW Tel. 020 7919 7754 Fax. 020 7919 7743
