And at the risk of sounding mercenary, or whatever. it is not uncommon for Greek students studying over here to have reasonably well off parents who can afford to pay for equipment, the provision of which is perhaps not the responsibility of the university. Please be patient with me if you have already told me, but, would a student from Greece, resident here from this year for the duration of his Undergrad course (3-4 years) be in any way eligible for an allowance from his home country? He is deaf, needs some decent hearing equipment (poss £3 - 4,000 worth!) and maybe notetaking support - if he agrees to it. Anyone got any advice please?
